The City of Cake
Curated External Exhibition
We are proud to present, alongside The Tattooed Bakers and as part of Leeds Indie Food Festival 2016, the City of Cake.
A walk-through, edible, immersive installation of some of the buildings that give Leeds its unique culture.
And its made (almost) entirely of cake…
And you can eat it… !
Forks at the ready (again!) The Edible Exhibition is back!
Taking place on one of the main bridges inside Trinity Leeds, the installation officially opens on Friday 13th May as the official Leeds Indie Food Festival opener, and it continues as an edible installation until Friday 20 May.
This is a free public event, with no age restrictions and it is also wheelchair friendly.
What's it all for?
Let’s talk about culture in Leeds!
We asked the question “What gives a city its culture?” and the overwhelming answers were “People, Architecture, Food, Heritage, Industry, Sport, Theatre, Music, Art… ” The city is getting a new Culture Strategy, and it’s written by you! Join us at Trinity Leeds and immerse yourself in cakey recreations of the buildings that make Leeds unique. Take a wander through our re-imagined city of sponge and ganache, take a bite out of the Town Hall, and join the discussion about our city, over a delicious slice of cake… Sign Up Here
