Fresh Yorkshire Aires

Fresh Yorkshire Aires celebrates the creative and cultural breadth of ‘God’s own country’, showcasing graphic scores and visualisations of sound by artists based in Yorkshire.
This exhibition includes work by artists and composers from all over the region, including four new commissions by Jez Riley French, Katie English, Nigel Morgan and Jacob Thompson-Bell, and featuring live performances by acclaimed pianists Matthew Bourne and Phillip Thomas playing as a duo.
WORKSHOPS
Wednesday 15 June

Join producer and composer Jacob Thompson-Bell for a workshop exploring graphic scores. Find out more about the new Fresh Yorkshire Aires Commissions and try your hand at creating your own graphic score to be interpreted live by musicians during the workshop. Scores created during the workshop will become will become part of the exhibition.
CONCERT
Thursday 16 June

Catch acclaimed pianists Matthew Bourne and Phillip Thomas realising the four new graphic scores in a concert for two pianos.
