Gallery, Munro House, is an independent commercial art gallery, event space, and café in Leeds.
From our city centre location the Gallery exhibits and represent artists specialising in all types of art, including photography, illustration, painting, print, sculpture, animation, film, and graphic design.
Since opening in September 2011, our exhibition programme has included a diverse mix of work and ecclectic range of Artists, with themes, styles and media ranging from the experimental, through contemporary to traditional, from both established and emerging talents. The Gallery’s focus since its inception has been to support local arts and culture while also bringing artists and their work to the city from further afield – this is a core value which inspired the creation of the Gallery and is at the heart of everything we do.
Alongside our rolling, month-by-month exhibition programme, the Gallery space is available to hire exhibitions, corporate functions, launches, screenings, events, workshops and more.
Inside Munro House, a Victorian textile mill in the East of Leeds City Centre, the Gallery is situated at the corner of York Street and Duke Street, just around the corner from BBC Yorkshire,
The Yorkshshire Playhouse, Leeds College of Music, and Yorkshire Dance; opposite the Leeds City Bus Station, below the viaduct carrying the East Coast line north of Leeds.
